Transiting from a career break back into the workforce is challenging. Through
NTUC U Family's Returners Programme
, returning professionals who have taken a career break of 2 years and more will find opportunities to connect with employers who are ready to hire returners or provide paid work trials. NTUC U Family work closely with employers to develop paid work trials with structured on-the-job trainings, mentoring and family-friendly workplace policies, enabling returners to close the gap in their resumes, refresh their skillsets and ease back into work. Returners can look forward to holistic support to help them make a seamless transition back to work, with resources, advice as well as opportunities to create new networks available through this programme.
RETURNER WORK TRIAL
is a key feature under NTUC U Family’s Returners Programme where returning professionals will get a paid work trial lasting up to six months, including on-the-job training.
The Returner Work Trial is a new scheme offered by NTUC U Family and NTUC's e2i (Employment and Employability Institute) and supported by WSG, to facilitate the re-entry of economically inactive PMETs (“returners”) back to the workforce, by providing employment opportunities where:
1.Employer can assess the returner’s fit for the job before offering permanent position or an employment contract of 12 months or above.
2.Returners can plug gaps in their Curriculum Vitae (CV) and refresh the relevance of their skillsets and ease back into work.
